New Buljan Bell Schedule - Same Start/End Time 9:05am - 3:15pm.

Students will be experiencing a change to the  Buljan   Bell   Schedule  on Tuesday following our upcoming three day weekend.  On February 15th, the STEP period will be removed from the daily  bell   schedule .  This change will continue through the end of the school year.  The minutes previously used for the STEP period will be added back to your 6 period  schedule .  Starting and ending  times  will stay the same [9:05 - 3:15].   Here is the link to the new  schedule .   Thank you, Mr. White, Mrs. Beardsley, & Mrs. Conway Be safe, Accountable, Respectful and Kind as you go throughout your day! Buljan Bell Schedule Change Coming Next Week

Hello Bulldog Families ~ Your Bulldog will be experiencing a change to the Buljan Bell Schedule on the Tuesday following our upcoming three day weekend.  On February 15th, the STEP period will be removed from the daily bell schedule.  This change will continue through the end of the school year.  The minutes previously used for the STEP period will be added back to a 6 period schedule.  This change will help in preparing for the upcoming state testing as well as provide relief to staff who have had to cover STEP classes due to substitute shortages experienced by districts throughout the region.  Your student(s) will be informed of the change this week.   This Friday and every other Friday,  Snowie   King  will be here after school selling shaved ice. Good Afternoon Bulldog Families, We are currently midway through the 2nd trimester.  We encourage you to sit down with your child and navigate Otus with them. Have your child share with you their grades and assignments in Otus to see how they're currently progressing in their classes. Students completing a Tangram Challenge in Mrs. Barrett's class. In an effort to provide access to real-time information on grades, assignments, and scores, parents/guardians can access the Otus Family account online, or through the Otus App.  Parents are also able to view student scores on their iReady Diagnostic assessment in Language Arts and Math.  Please see the guides below that give step-by-step instructions on how to use the website, app, and view data reports.  At the end of each guide is a video that helps explain the steps. The Bulldog Water Bowl Hello Buljan Families, From the entire staff here at George Buljan Middle School, we wish your family a wonderful holiday season and an exciting New Year!  Our staff will be enjoying family and friends as they take a well deserved break.  We are all looking forward to some time to recharge so that we can continue to successfully serve our students, families, and community into the new year. Building relationships: Staff and students were focused on the importance of building strong community in the classroom.   Teaching expected behaviors: Students were taught the behavior expectation of Being Safe, Accountable, Respectful, and Kind or B.A.R.K.! Click HERE to listen.  Last week we had a successful Career Fair with 340 students completing the scavenger hunt through careers. Thank you to everyone that came to share their career with our students.  Here is a reminder about absences, in the event that your student is absent from school.  Attendance  1. Students are expected to be in school each day unless it is absolutely necessary that they be absent.  Students with excessive absences will be assigned a behavior contract, parent/guardian conference or referred to SARB.   2.
