October 8 Buljan Blog
Good Evening Bulldog Families,
We are delighted to share the exciting news that our Bark Buck Store is now open at lunch, with our dedicated Student Government doing an exceptional job managing it. Students have the opportunity to earn Bark Bucks by demonstrating our school's core values: being safe, accountable, respectful, and kind. The line of students eagerly waiting to purchase their goods shows the tremendous enthusiasm among our students, as they eagerly utilize their hard-earned Bark Bucks to indulge themselves or save up for something special.
Our store boasts a wide array of enticing options to cater to various interests and preferences. From delectable candies to intriguing trinkets, stylish hydro flasks, and high-quality earbuds, there's truly something for everyone to enjoy. The Bark Buck Store has become a hub of excitement and positivity, reinforcing the importance of positive behavior and fostering a strong sense of community among our students.
At Buljan, we are dedicated to nurturing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where our students can thrive both academically and socially. Together, as a united school community, we continue to shape a bright future for our students, fostering a culture of excellence and kindness that extends far beyond the classroom. We also want to thank our community for your continued support in our journey to empower our students and reinforce these essential values.

Creating an Inclusive & Respectful Campus Classroom Lessons: School counselors will be visiting 7/8th grade science classrooms October 16th and 17th and 6th grade social studies classrooms November 6-9th to deliver a classroom lesson on creating an inclusive and respectful campus. The lesson aims to help students develop a sense of acceptance, respect, support and inclusion for self and others in the school environment and create positive, respectful and supportive relationships with students who are similar to and different from them. RCSD is committed to providing quality education to its students. In an effort to achieve this goal, school staff or parents/guardians may refer students for counseling, or students may request counseling. The aim of the school counseling services is to help students have more effective education and socialization within the school community. Possible counseling topics are coping with changes, transition, self esteem, friendship and relationship issues, study skills, stress management, fears or worries, academic progress, conflict resolution, social skills, adjustment to school or culture, etc. These services are available at no cost. RCSD school counselors offer short‐term individual counseling to students, as well as small group counseling.
