We're excited to share that we've just completed our first two units of Second Step - Social Emotional Learning with your children! In Unit 1, lessons focused on Mindset and Goals, helping our students develop valuable skills for growth and self-awareness. In Unit 2, we delved into Recognizing Bullying & Harassment, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all.

Additionally, our students have been actively engaged in learning about our BARK expectations: being safe, accountable, respectful, and kind as a Bulldog at school. These principles are essential in shaping positive behaviors and interactions within our school community.

Thank you for your ongoing support in nurturing your child's growth as a middle schooler.

  • Suicide Prevention Classroom Lessons: Please view the Suicide Prevention  Parent Letter that was emailed out last week week. The letter contains detailed information about the Signs of Suicide suicide prevention curriculum school counselors will be delivering to science classes starting the week of September 11th.

October 22 Blog Update

We had a great week at Buljan. We have many clubs for students to join during lunch. Here is a picture of our Weight Lifting club that students can join during lunch. Mr. White our teacher has students come in to teach them about proper form and technique.  This week we're highlighting our Computer Science class and Project Lead the Way class, which are two electives we offer. Computer Science students are creating skate board parks on the computers.  Project Lead the Way is on the VR headsets as they navigate how to move through the virtual world.  The last highlight of the week was the energy in the gym during our pink and green house head to head rally on Friday.  Join Us for the Halloween "Fright Night" Dance! Mark your calendars! Our 7th and 8th graders are invited to the Halloween "Fright Night" Dance on Friday, October 27th, from 5 pm to 7 pm. Quick Details: Theme: Halloween costumes are encouraged!
