Week of September 20 - 24

Hello Bulldog Families!

Today we had the 2021 debut of our one and only Bubba the Bulldog! It was great to see so many students and parents at drop off with smiling faces as they waved to Bubba!

No Drop Off or Pick Up on Washington Blvd. - Please follow all traffic laws while dropping off to ensure everyone's safety. Please do not drop off or pick up students on Washington Blvd, complete U-turns in the middle of the road or at the stop signs. Always keep an eye out for pedestrians as we have a lot of students walking.

Independent Study - Buljan has changed how we accept short-term independent study requests for students from a paper form picked up at the school to an online electronic form. Parents/guardians looking to take their student out on short-term independent study (minimum of 3 days; maximum of 15) for personal family business (not quarantine) must complete the online form. Paper forms will no longer be available at the office. However, parents requesting short-term independent study will still need to make their request with at least 5-days’ notice before taking your student out of school to ensure proper notification to their teacher(s) and providing of schoolwork. Thank you.

The
AVID word of the week is ACCLIMATE

The avid word of the week is ACCLIMATE.  The definition is: to adapt to a new place or different conditions.  For example, “When you go up into the mountains, allow yourself a little time for your lungs to acclimate to the high elevation.”  Write your own sentence using the word ACCLIMATE and turn it into the office for a prize drawing.
