February 5th Blog Update
Hello Buljan Families,
Tuesday we are going to practice our lockdown drill. A lockdown is called when there is a threat or hazard inside the school campus. The language used is “lockdown, locks, lights, out of sight.” The action requires ensuring doors are locked, moving students and staff out of the line of sight from windows, turning off all lights, and remaining quiet.
We practice drills to help build muscle memory in the event of a true emergency, and we practice in order for our school to identify gaps and areas of improvement.
For more information about our safety procedures, please check out the safety information on our district website.
Please reach out if you have any questions.
✨Counseling & Wellness Corner✨
Dear Buljan Parents and Families: Next week we are celebrating National School Counseling Week. Your students are invited to participate in our fun lunchtime activities all week. School Counselors support students in four areas of development: Social, Emotional, Academic and Career. Each day is dedicated to one of our core supports. There are prizes to be won and fun to be had at lunch all next week!
Thank you for supporting our Counseling and Wellness Program with our students here at Buljan Middle!
We will see your students there!
Sincerely, Vanessa Anderson, Madisyn Donnels, Kathryn Buchan and Kailauna Parker
